Help make #LFF26 happen, Volunteer with us

Our volunteer team is an integral part of Leigh Folk Festival, with an unprecedented number of volunteers coming on board to undertake a range of roles.

As our amazing free festival grows, so we need more volunteers to keep it fun, raise funds and make it safe. Roles vary – everything from site build and break, artist support, selling merchandise and collecting donations, running information points, stewarding audiences, traffic management, production runners, tech support and photography to the less-than-glamorous but vital task of litter-picking…the list goes on!

While the majority of volunteer roles fall during the festival weekend some assistance is needed on the days leading up to the festival and days after.

On average shifts are around five hours, but you’re of course welcome to join us for more.

Please note: under 18s can only volunteer with the support of a parent/guardian/carer on any specific shift. This is due to safeguarding requirements.

Other Ways to get involved

  • Trading

Each year we hand-select a range of independent makers, traders, and catering concessions.

Applications to trade at the event as part of our Makers / Retail market for Food Concessions are now closed for 2026!

  • Sponsorship

As a registered arts and community charity run by volunteers, our partners and sponsors are what bring Leigh Folk Festival (and our other events!) to life. We have a range of packages to support brands and businesses to reach new and diverse audiences, with exposure, complimentary tickets and hospitality packages available in return for your support.

  • Performers

Applications to play at the festival are welcomed from all. There are some genres that would not be appropriate, so please check out the website and socials to get a feel for the kind of festival we are. Applications open in the late autumn and close on March 1st of that festival year, please keep an eye on our socials and website for exact dates.

  • Workshops & activities
