We are committed to making our festival as welcoming and accessible as possible for everyone. This guide provides information about access, facilities, seating, and venue layouts to help visitors plan their visit.

Leigh Library Gardens (Main Festival Hub)

Location

Broadway West, Leigh-on-Sea, SS9 2DA

About the Venue

Library Gardens is our main festival hub and hosts:

  • Main Performance Stage

  • Dance Stage (Upper Gardens)

  • Community Stage (Lower Gardens)

Access Information

Upper Gardens

Step-free access from Broadway West pavement.

  • Level access available

  • Tarmac pathways around stages and vendors

  • Grass surfaces may be uneven, particularly in wet weather

Lower Gardens

Access may be difficult for some visitors.

  • Access from Upper Gardens via 23 steps with handrails

  • Alternative access via a long, steep ramp

  • Access from Leigh Park Road includes 16 steps

  • Narrowest access point approximately 800mm wide

Facilities

  • Accessible toilets available in the Upper Gardens.

Seating

No fixed seating is provided.

  • Dedicated viewing area for wheelchair users and visitors with mobility requirements

  • Visitors may bring picnic blankets where suitable.

St Clement’s Church

Location

17 Broadway West, Leigh-on-Sea, SS9 1AP

About the Venue

A beautiful historic church hosting live performances throughout the festival.

Access Information

Accessible side entrance with level access

Features include:

  • Automated double doors

  • Remote push-button entry

  • Level flooring throughout the ground floor

  • Front entrance has a single 150mm step.

Facilities

  • Accessible toilet available

  • Portable hearing loop available on request

Seating

  • Dedicated wheelchair spaces available

  • Companion seating available alongside wheelchair spaces

The Fishermen’s Chapel

Location:

New Road, Leigh-on-Sea, SS9 2EA

About the Venue

This venue includes a street-level Community Room and the historic Chapel situated within the cliffside.

Access Information

Community Room

  • Level access from street level

Chapel

  • Access is via a stepped ramp with a single handrail

  • This route is  challenging for:

    • Wheelchair users

    • Visitors with mobility impairments

    • Visitors with visual impairments

Facilities

  • Accessible toilet available on the ground floor

  • No toilet facilities are available upstairs within the Chapel itself.

Seating

  • Wheelchair spaces can be incorporated into venue layouts

  • Flexible seating arrangements available

The Broadway Pub

Location

12 Broadway, Leigh-on-Sea, SS9 1AW

About the Venue

A lively pub venue hosting bands and entertainment in the rear beer garden.

Access Information

Through the Pub

  • Step-free entrance

  • Internal layout may become restricted due to furniture e.g. pool table

  • Steps are present between the pub and beer garden

Alternative Access

  • Fully level access to the beer garden via the car park on the right-hand side of the building

Facilities

  • Accessible toilet available on the ground floor

Seating

  • Space may be created for wheelchair users where possible

  • This venue can become very busy and availability of space may vary

Café Hogar Del Mar

Location

Unit 4, Clements Arcade, 9–11 Broadway, Leigh-on-Sea, SS9 1PA

About the Venue

A welcoming café-bar venue hosting smaller and more intimate performances.

Access Information

  • Step-free access through Clements Arcade

  • Wide manual entrance doors

  • Level flooring throughout
